Action Rifle Range

Action Rifle Range — FAQ

Booking

Q: How do I book a session?
A: All bookings must be made in advance online via our booking page. We do not accept cash on the day.

Q: Do you accept walk-ins?
A: No. All sessions are by pre-booked appointment only.

Age & Access

Q: What age restrictions do you have?
A: No children under 8 years are allowed on site. Children under 16 must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult (parent/guardian). 8 is the minimum age for air rifle packages and 10 for live fire packages.

Q: Is there disabled access?
A: Unfortunately there is no disabled access at our range.

Q: Are there toilets and refreshments?
A: We have male and female toilets on site. No refreshments are available.

Q: Do I need a coat and what footwear should I wear?
A: The range is well-ventilated for safety, which means it can become cold—especially in winter months. Please dress accordingly. The site is in a rural location with uneven ground and parking; wear appropriate, sturdy footwear such as boots.

Weapons & Calibres

Q: What kinds of guns/calibres will I shoot during an experience?
A: Our experiences use .22LR rifles or a mix of .22LR live fire rifles and CO₂ pistols/SMGs.

Typical calibres are:

  • .22 Long Rifle (rimfire) — live fire: these are real firearms using real bullets.
  • CO₂ pistols & CO₂ SMGs: typically use .177 projectiles, a few use .22 and .43 calibre. These can be either steel BBs, pellets or chalk balls depending on the specific replica.

Q: Are the CO₂ guns “real” firearms?
A: No — CO₂ pistols and CO₂ SMG replicas are airguns / gas-powered replicas, not live firearms. They use compressed gas (CO₂) to propel pellets or BBs and are used under staff supervision.

Safety & Arrival

Q: What time should I arrive?
A: Please arrive 15 minutes before your booking start time. Some sessions require a short safety briefing prior to shooting — late arrivals may result in reduced range time.

Q: Is eye/ear protection provided?
A: Yes — protective equipment is provided to all customers where required and must be worn at all times when in the range building.

Q: Can I bring my own equipment?
A: No — 3rd party equipment is not covered by our insurance and is therefore not permitted on the range.

Location

Q: How do I find you?
A: Use the “Find us” / Google Maps link on our website or Google listing to get directions. The Google Maps listing has the most accurate arrival directions and parking information. Do not use the postcode, this will take you past the entrance.
